This Downtown Charleston Proposal was what you dream of your whole life. Picture historic cobblestone roads, pink walls, blooming flowers, and a horse carriage. Literally the stuff you see in fairytale movies!
Dave messaged me a few weeks before the proposal asking if I was available. Him and his soon to be fiancé, Heather, were supposed to be going to a Lauren Daigle concert in New York. But they had to change all of their plans because of quarantine and the virus.
Luckily, Charleston had just opened back up and it was still pretty empty here! So it was perfect timing.
Dave and I spent the weeks prior planning the perfect proposal. I went downtown to take pictures of a few different location options. And once Dave picked out the one he wanted I went to that location and face-timed him to walk him through the plan.
Even though they had to change all of their plans, the proposal was still flawless and perfect.
As I waited on the steps the night of the proposal with my second shooter, we finally heard hoofs walking on the pavement. We got in place and began to take pictures of each other as “headshots”. Then as soon as Dave was in place we whipped around to capture the big moment. Dave’s proposal was so perfectly planned and it was everything you would ever dream of having.
Dave even got a horse drawn carriage to stroll the streets of Downtown.
If you are looking for a photographer to capture your proposal in Charleston, or any destination, I’m your girl!
Hear it from Dave himself, “While planning my engagement in Charleston I needed to find a photographer that was great at photography as well as trustworthy, as we were from out of town. Catie worked with me every step of the way from scouting a great location to where we should stand/ kneel, if able, for the big moment. Catie has a great eye and is absolutely charming. Our photographs were perfect and she did an amazing job at capturing our moment. Whatever your moment may be, Catie is the right person for the job”.
