If you’ve never been to a plantation in Charleston, South Carolina you have got to go to at least one in your life! Sara and Aaron had their spring wedding at Wingate Plantation on Johns Island. This was my first time ever going to the plantation and I couldn’t think of a better reason to visit.
The path up to the plantation is a small dirt road. When I first turned onto the road I thought I might be in the wrong place, but as you go further down the space opens up into a huge green field. Tucked away in the back is a quaint farmhouse with a swing hanging from a huge tree. The plantation is filled with giant oak trees dripping with Spanish moss and a gorgeous pond behind the alter. There were sparkling lights that filled the trees over the tent for the reception. Every last detail was PERFECT!
The lights weren’t the only thing glowing that day though. I was still drooling over the details as I was walking into the farmhouse to say hi to Sara and she was just as bright and beautiful as the lights! Her wedding dress is the dress girls dream about wearing when they think about their future weddings.
Sara and Aaron are the cutest and sweetest people you will ever meet! This was my first time meeting Sara and Aaron in person and they made me feel like family. I am so thankful I got to take part in their special day and capture these memories for them! The whole day could have been straight out of a fairytale. ❤️
I was LOVING the details at this spring wedding at Wingate plantation.
