Highlighting South Carolina weddings and wedding vendors has become one of my favorite thing during this season of staying at home! I’ve been able to connect with so many amazing wedding planners, venues, florists, DJs, and more in the Charleston area. And today I am highlighting Fresh Weddings & Events!
My main goal is to help couples find South Carolina wedding vendors easily by looking through my blog series.
I worked with Fresh Weddings and Events at Christina & Clif’s wedding at The Historic Rice Mill this past December. Elaine did an AMAZING job on the florals! I was in love with her design and colors that she incorporated into their wedding.

Tell us a little about yourself:
We are a florist that LOVES weddings and events, so that’s all we do! We work with weddings of all sizes and shapes, designing custom florals for all our brides.
How would you describe your style?
I lean more towards a relaxed style with lots of ruffly flowers and lush greenery, but I am trained to execute different styles as well. I think flowers are beautiful no matter how they are arranged, so I won’t impose my personal preferences unless you ask me to.
What do you love most about working in weddings?
Being a part of the biggest day of someone’s life is really exciting and an honor! I love to finish a setup and look around at all the other details I wouldn’t have known about during the planning process. Seeing my part of the process fit in with so many other elements (linens, rentals, lighting, etc) is always really cool.
I have to agree with this.
Seeing the final product of a wedding in Charleston, SC (or any destination) is the best feeling ever!
What advice would you give to your couples who are preparing for their wedding day?
Don’t start with someone else’s idea. Pick a piece of your story that you want to tell and use that as your inspiration and then seek help from professionals or websites like Pinterest to bring it to life.
I absolutely love this advice. There are really no limits as to what you can do with your wedding. It’s great to get inspiration from Pinterest, but ultimately you should be creative and do something you’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance to!
What are your favorite wedding trends right now?
I love color! I am not the biggest fan of say… orange clothing, but I love using it as an accent color in wedding flowers. If you scale back other areas of the design like the linens or the rentals to be more neutral it can be a really fun and unexpected pop without being too loud!
I absolutely love seeing some pops of color in your weddings in Charleston!

We are so looking forward to getting back to work, I’m having fun redesigning Spring weddings for the Fall. It’s going to be so worth it after this wait!
