If you haven’t seen yet, I started a new blog series: Charleston wedding vendors! And this week I am highlighting Charleston Weddings by Allison!
My main goal is to help couples find Charleston wedding vendors easily by looking through my blog series.
I had the honor to work with Allison at Christina and Clif’s wedding at The Historic Rice Mill this past December. She is absolutely amazing in every way and probably one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! It was our first time working together, but I felt like I’ve known Allison for years. Christina and Clif had a flawless wedding thanks to Allison.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I am originally from New England, but have spent the past 11 years in the Lowcountry! In 2013, I started my company and haven’t looked back since! I just celebrated my 7th wedding anniversary this month, have a very smiley almost 2 year old little girl, and the sweetest old man of a bulldog!
Charleston Weddings by Allison plans the most gorgeous weddings.
How would you describe your style?
Classic and timeless
What do you love most about working in weddings?
Love stories! Everyone has one and they are all different! If you met online, not everyone can say that, and if you met at a bar, that definitely means y’all aren’t boring! It really tells a lot about couples.
What advice would you give to your couples who are preparing for their wedding day?
Smile every chance you get. The camera is always watching you, even if you aren’t watching it. Just enjoy the moments, every single one as they come. It all flies by and you will never have all of those same amazing people, that love you unconditionally, in that same room, at the same time again!
I LOVE this advice! Well said, Allison!
Your wedding photographer will capture every single moment, so keep on smiling!
What are your favorite wedding trends right now?
Jewel Tones! White and green will never go out of style, but if you are bold enough to embrace the bright, vibrant colors, I say go for it! The entire design will stand out, and your pictures will be full of life!
Anything else you would like to share?
COVID19 can take a hike, and Catherine Hurt is adorable! I have loved working with her in the past 🙂

And from Molly, a recent Charleston Weddings by Allison bride:
“Our wedding truly wouldn’t have been as fun or stress-free without her. Not to mention, she truly looked out for us (bride and groom) by ensuring that we had a drink in hand and made time to eat. She really went above and beyond in so many ways and exceeded all of our expectations! If you are a bride (or groom) looking for a wedding professional who is knowledgeable, efficient, and easy-to-work with, I highly recommend Allison!”
I think Molly said it all! If you are looking for an amazing planner for your wedding or event, check out Allison here > http://www.charlestonweddingsbyallison.com/
