Also, This post is the first in my new series: Charleston wedding vendors! Since COVID-19 has caused almost all weddings and events to be rescheduled or cancelled, I have decided to help out my fellow Charleston wedding vendors by featuring them on my blog! I’ve sent them a series of questions to answer and I’m posting their answers here.
My main goal is to help couples find vendors in the Charleston area easier by looking through my blog series.
I will have all kinds of vendors featured from wedding planners to wedding catering. So our first vendor being highlighted is Bryan the DJ!
I had the honor to work with Bryan at Christina and Clif’s wedding at The Historic Rice Mill this past December. He has such a fun energy! The room was never silent and the dance floor was never empty! Here is what Bryan had to say:

Bryan Mahanes is Bryan the DJ. Performing and entertaining for over 1,000 weddings all over the Southeast.

What do you love most about working in weddings?
I love the energy and love and passion that people bring to weddings.
I feel that when people attend weddings, they bring the best part of themselves to the event. And what I LOVE, is helping them express themselves! And bring it to the dancefloor! To share their best dance moves with incredibly unique group of people that are all celebrating this forming of a new family in the world!
What advice would you give to your couples who are preparing for their wedding day?
Be yourselves! There is NO right or wrong way to have a wedding. It’s all about relaxing and having fun. Of course, bring your style and ideas and dreams and visions to the table, but never get overwhelmed by the details. It’s all about celebrating with your closest family and friends and that’s what’s most important!
What are your favorite wedding trends right now?
Live music combined with a DJ! Also, photobooths are still a classic trend.
