Who else loves blush pinks and greens in a wedding?!
Those are two of my absolute favorite colors, which is why I made them my brand colors I guess! Haha!
Maybe that’s one of the reasons I absolutely loved capturing this Lowndes Grove bridal party; they had all of my favorite colors! And they were super easy to photograph seeing as they are all so beautiful and photogenic. These girls were all so fun and bubbly!
Lowndes Grove is such a unique plantation here in the Lowcountry. It has a stunning view of the Ravenel bridge with one side of the plantation surrounded by water. A massive white house that is perfect for portraits if you’re going for the downtown look, but also want the plantation feel.
The style of the white plantation house is the perfect backdrop for clean, crisp portraits that are worthy of being framed. Like the first one in this blog post!
I learned a lot about the plantation house while shooting here as well; I can’t help but learn at least one thing since I had never been there before! The plantation house was built in the 1700s (!!!) and has been standing since then. It was passed down through many plantation owners throughout the years, but kept in really good shape. The fact that this place is still standing, especially through all the hurricanes that have passed through since the 1700s, is CRAZY!
There is so much history in Charleston and I love that I get to live here and learn about it every single day.
