This Spring Wedding at The William Aiken House was absolutely stunning in every way.
The night before Bethany and Kenneth’s wedding there was a huge storm. It honestly felt kind of like a tropical storm, it was that bad! We were all watching the weather nonstop because there was a chance that the storm would carry into their wedding day. But our prayers were answered and the sky was perfectly clear the whole day! It was a little chilly, but that’s so much better than rain. Plus Bethany and Kenneth had the cutest scarves that their guests could pick up to keep them warm during the ceremony.
The William Aiken House was the perfect place for Bethany and Kenneth’s Spring wedding.
Since the William Aiken House is basically in the heart of Charleston, the boys decided to go to the Breakout room in Downtown Charleston. They started the day there and then went out to lunch after and got back just in time for pictures to start. The guys are always so relaxed on wedding days and I love it! The girls spent their morning upstairs at the William Aiken House bridal suite, sharing mimosas and helping with hair and makeup. One thing I love about first walking into the bridal suite is the smells. It always smells SO good! And their bridal suite that morning smelled like the pink champagne that pops in Mickey’s PhilarMagic at DisneyWorld! (hopefully someone gets that reference)
After we got all the beautiful details photographed and the girls took some champagne popping pictures, Bethany stepped into her dress. One of her bridesmaids had the perfect word to describe Bethany in her wedding dress: regal. She could’ve been a Queen or a Disney princess!
One of my favorite moments from their Spring Wedding at the William Aiken House was when Kenneth first saw Bethany.
He was trying to hold back tears and it honestly had me tearing up a bit too! Bethany and her dad walked down the aisle as Bethany also tried to hold back her tears. Their ceremony exchanged lots of beautiful words and favorite bible verses. And after they said their vows and had their first kiss as husband and wife, they walked down the aisle triumphantly.
At the reception, the song Butterfly Kisses played as Bethany and her father shared their dance together. I don’t think there was a dry eye throughout any of the dances! Bethany and Kenneth thought out every single detail of their wedding so beautifully. Down to their rings, which had special quotes engraved in them for both of them to see the day of the wedding!
I am so thankful that Bethany and Kenneth had me document their big day. I was fighting tears through several parts of the day! Their wedding reminded me exactly why I love my job.
And as always, I had to take a picture with them! They are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and I am still so happy that I was there for their big day! I can’t wait to see what their lives hold together!
