The water is clear. There’s a slight breeze blowing through my hair. It smells salty, yet fresh. I can hear the ocean waves crashing from my hammock where I’m relaxing and reading my book. This is the best I’ve felt in a really long time.
Well, maybe because I’m in The Bahamas!
Cruises are so much fun! You eat as much as you possibly can, sit in the hot tub or pool and cruise to the islands.
I had the opportunity to go on a cruise with the company that I am currently working for. It was our Christmas gift and it’s the best gift you could possibly get!
My favorite day spent on the cruise was the day I spent alone….that sounds bad, but I’m telling you it was the most relaxing day ever. I got off the cruise ship at about 7am and made my way to a smaller boat to take to an island. It’s actually Blue Lagoon Island, like from the movie! I had a Sea Lion experience (BEST THING EVER)!!!! The sea lion kissed me!!! Best day ever.
After I finished up my experience I grabbed a snack and ventured further into the island to find a place to sit for the rest of the day. The beach was filled with people and pretty loud so I only stayed there for about 10 minutes then decided to move.
After that I found hammocks!
Ugh. I loved it.
I found one that was somewhat secluded and sat with my Mountain Dew and Chex Mix (I know, so healthy). When it was time to go back to the ship I discovered all of my friends were still on the island. So what to do next…..
I decided to grab a burger and fries and make my way to the top of the ship. Perfect spot because the ship parked next to us (parked or docked…hmm?) was playing a Disney movie. Y’all I’m telling you it was perfect!!!
So I spent a few more hours by myself then headed off on the ship to find my friends. Perfect. Day. Just a little peak inside my cruise! Take a look at a few of the pictures I was able to snap!

Stay tuned to see some of these pictures from The Bahamas available to purchase as prints!
But for now, check out some of my other adventures here! 🙂
