This intimate Spring wedding at Mepkin Abbey was EVERYTHING. I’ve known Jessica and Bobby for a few years now. I first met Jessica while I was working a full-time job before I went full time with photography!
I was blessed to meet Jessica at just the perfect time. And I give her all the credit for getting me into weddings as well!
Fun fact: Jessica asked me to photograph her wedding before I even thought about being a wedding photographer. At the time I was just taking headshots, family photos, and nature photos. The thought of being a wedding photographer had crossed my mind, but I was too scared.
Jessica pushed me and saw potential in me that I didn’t see myself. And I can never thank her enough for that.
It is because of Jessica that I am a wedding photographer in Charleston now!
Their wedding was absolutely perfect in every way. The flowers were in bloom so there were all kinds of beautiful colors and smells in the air. The alligators were swimming in the pond and even popped out before the ceremony to say hello! And their wedding was strictly family and close friends. That’s what everyone dreams of right?! The weather couldn’t have been any more perfect. Mepkin Abbey was definitely showing off for us!
The salty air was blowing through the huge oak trees as they exchanged their vows and held back *happy* tears. I’m pretty sure I was even holding back tears at this point. But enough of my talking, see for yourself how beautiful it was!

Jessica had to get a picture with little Roxi before making her way to the wedding! She’s so cute!
Bobby’s reaction after Jessica teased him about not being surprised!
Yes, I got Bobby to show a real, genuine smile! I don’t even remember what I said, but I guess it was funny!
I just love all of the colors at Mepkin Abbey. It made this Charleston wedding pop!
When you think of a true South Carolina wedding, this wedding should be the first to pop in your head.
Nothing says Charleston, South Carolina like the glowing oaks dripping with Spanish moss, salty air, alligators swimming in the ponds, and the Azaleas blooming everywhere you look. And Mepkin Abbey is the epitome of Charleston.
Jessica and Bobby, I am so honored to have captured your special day. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you!
