Summer Wedding in Charleston

Being a Charleston wedding photographer, you see lots of beautiful weddings, but Tommy & Ashlyn Cox’s  summer wedding in Charleston at The Island House was one for the books!

The sun was shining on this special day and there was a slight breeze blowing the smell of salt water across the wedding venue. The final details were being put together outside where the ceremony was overlooking the Charleston harbor. It was going to be a beautiful day!

Ashlyn had been waiting for almost 6 years for this day to come. She couldn’t contain her excitement. As her mother buttoned up her dress she knew all of her dreams were about to come true.

After that, the day was filled with so much laughter, dancing and gelato, mmm. Every single detail was planned up to the day of by Ashlyn herself and she couldn’t wait to see it all come together.

Most importantly, they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, that’s when the real party started. The sky was all the sudden filled with dark, fluffy clouds and it started to pour outside. But this didn’t stop Ashlyn and Tommy from having a good time! Despite the rain, Ashlyn and Tommy had some portraits taken out near the water. These last portraits were what made their wedding unlike any other!

In other words, the rain made their wedding so unique to them and special.

They made their exit on a grand boat next door and continued to celebrate through the next week.

In short, everything was absolutely perfect!

I even got to see one of my past couples!! Love Brittany and Dwayne!

To sum it up, I think it’s safe to say that Ashlyn and Tommy’s wedding was filled with love, happiness and so much celebration! I can’t believe I get to call this my JOB!! How blessed am I to have such sweet and adorable couples like these two!?
