As many of you know, this past November I was able to travel to Arizona for a photography conference. It was the Showit United Conference! This bright and colorful Charleston wedding was a result of one of the styled shoots I was able to attend while I was there. I met the amazing Tina of Pure in Art Photography who guided us through this styled shoot and showed us all of her secrets!
First off, I would just like to say that the colors in Arizona are spectacular. In another one of my blogs, Arizona, you can see the colors as well. There are lots of pastels in the desert that are unlike anything you can find in Charleston. But there are also bright blooms on cacti that make all of the photos pop!
I absolutely love being a Charleston wedding photographer, but I love photographing destination weddings too for this reason!
It’s so refreshing to get a change of scenery. And it’s always so inspiring to try out new things and have a different backdrop for photos.
When I traveled to Arizona, I only brought my film camera. This was when I had first started photographing with a film camera, so that was a little intimidating. But it ended up being amazing! It pushed me to think about what I really wanted to capture. Instead of just snapping pictures of everything that I saw, I was very particular about what I photographed. I absolutely love how I’ve changed as a photographer since I starting capturing photos with film. I love my work too! This styled shoot was the perfect for me and learning how to better use my film camera.
This cake was to die for! I wanted to eat it so bad! The colors work together so well and the pomegranate looks so fresh and juicy! It’s so beautiful when lots of color is incorporate into weddings.
The florals in this Bright and colorful Charleston wedding were to die for. They’re so colorful and bright!
As you can tell, I love color. So this bright and colorful Charleston wedding was my dream wedding.
And there was another bright yellow wedding cake! I can’t decide which cake I liked more. I love the color yellow, but I also loved the pomegranate on the other cake. This cake was set out in the middle of a desert area which was such a beautiful backdrop. The greens in the desert are absolutely beautiful and lush. If only I could photograph Arizona weddings every once in a while; that would be perfect!
But being a Charleston Wedding Photographer is pretty amazing.
So I think I’ll stay here!
I hope you loved this bright and colorful Charleston wedding! I sure did.
