Jordan and Chris had their engagement session in Downtown Charleston and started at the beach at sunrise. When I tell y’all that it was a beautiful sunrise, I’m not lying! It was seriously the prettiest sunrise I have seen in so long! And there were a few special surprises that made their session even more special. You will see what I’m talking about! But first, I have to tell you a little bit about the sweet couple.
Jordan and Chris decided to capture their engagement session in Downtown Charleston because it is where Chris proposed.
Before the proposal, Chris asked Jordan’s mom, Nicole, for permission to marry her daughter and Nicole gave him her stamp of approval. But she didn’t only give her approval, she also gave him her engagement ring to give to Jordan. Which is beautiful and such a huge blessing!
But there’s even a story behind the ring! Jordan and Chris had talked about marriage and even went ring shopping, but Jordan wasn’t too crazy over any of the rings they saw. She had always loved her mom’s ring and was looking for something similar to that. Well, Nicole knew that Jordan had loved her ring. So she did what any amazing and loving mom would do and gave Chris her blessing with the ring.
Chris proposed to Jordan at one of the most iconic spots in Downtown Charleston – the Pineapple Fountain.
Instead of starting their engagement session at that special location though, we decided to start at the beach. It was the perfect weather! The sun started to crawl over the horizon a few minutes after we arrived at the beach. The morning started out at 6:00am at the beach with a beautiful sunrise in the background. The air was a little dewy, but it was the perfect temperature outside with just the slightest breeze in the air. The next stop was downtown Charleston to the pineapple fountain, rainbow row and the other classic Charleston hot spots. This was a special area because Chris had just proposed to Jordan the Saturday before their engagement session right there in downtown Charleston. Jordan and Chris spent the whole engagement session giggling and walking around holding hands. Basically a photographer’s dream couple because they looked so natural in front of the camera!

The two live in Canada, but wanted to capture their engagement where he proposed so they could always remember this special time in their lives. And I am so happy to be joining them for their wedding later this Fall in Canada and New York! They are having two separate small ceremonies/receptions for both families since there are some family members that won’t be able to travel the distance. Which I thought was so sweet of them to plan two separate weddings so that everyone would be able to witness it!
These two are so sweet and I consider them friends now. I can’t wait to see their wedding dreams come to life later on this year! It is going to be so spectacular!
