This joyful and colorful Charleston wedding wasn’t actually in Charleston, but it can still serve as beautiful wedding inspiration! You will find plenty of beautiful wedding inspiration that you can use at your Charleston, or destination, wedding! Before jumping in, I have to tell y’all a little back story.
Fall of 2019 I attended the Showit United Conference where I joined this beautiful, colorful styled wedding.
The Showit United Conference was in Tempe, Arizona. This was my first time attending the conference so I was a little nervous, but the good thing is my cousin was there too! So we had each other. The first night we had a welcome party and we got to meet all these amazing, talented photographers. I had an “awkward” run in with another photographer, who ended up being the lead for a styled shoot here. To be honest, it wasn’t even an awkward encounter, but I am just an awkward person so I thought I was acting awkward hahah!
Later that night while I was walking around the hotel in my pajamas trying to Facetime my friend, I ran into the same photographer! So I was even more embarrassed now that she saw me in my pajamas. But she was so sweet and we talked for a few minutes. Her name is Amber and I look up to her so much now after all the times we were able to talk over the few days of the conference. But she invited me to help her out at her styled shoot the next morning. And of course I agreed!
These pictures were from the styled shoot that Amber set up and it was absolutely beautiful. I will always be so thankful for Amber taking me under her wing and making me feel so welcome!
This styled wedding was joyful and colorful, which reminded me of Charleston.
When I think of Charleston I think of bright colors and tropical vibes. So this styled wedding made me feel right at home! There were pastel balloons, a bright colored cake, beautiful florals, and tropical linens. I seriously wish we had cacti and the soft beige colors more here in Charleston.

This was probably my favorite photo taken that day! The light behind them, the flower petals floating through the air, and the colors (!!) were just absolutely amazing! Plus Mr. & Mrs. Hicks are adorable.

I will never be able to thank Amber enough for all that she did for me that week at the Showit United Conference. This styled wedding was absolutely perfect and I felt so welcome. One of the things I’m looking forward to most is being able to see this sweet friend again and catch up with her!
