A Rainy Charleston Engagement Session is always an adventure! Kelsey and Michael were such troopers and we still ended up having so much fun!
I am telling you, it wasn’t the cute, soft rainfall that you see in the movies. The rain was literally coming down sideways while we tried to take some beautiful portraits. Not even an umbrella would’ve saved us from getting sopping wet! BUT, we still got a ton of stunning portraits of the two of them. And we ended up having a blast while doing it.
We laughed while Michael was spinning Kelsey around in the rainfall. I am so grateful to have sweet couples who will laugh with me when life throws curveballs at us.
If you are looking for some rainy Charleston engagement session inspiration, you’re in the right place.
Also, just have to add in that I think (almost) all of my couples have dogs and it’s amazing. I love it when my couples bring their pups to their engagement session! And it’s even better when I get to see them on the wedding day too!

Legare Waring House is just beyond this gate and is an absolute dream of a wedding venue here in Charleston.
Folly beach never fails for engagement session photos. Especially when Downtown Charleston is flooded and raining!
I cannot wait for Kelsey and Michael’s wedding at the William Aiken House in 2021! They were such a joy to be around for their engagement session so I can only imagine how fun their wedding day is going to be!
