Ashlyn and Aaron’s Spring Engagement Session in Summerville was so stinking cute. These two were the winners of an engagement session giveaway I held! They actually live in Florida, but they grew up in Summerville, SC and made the trip back up here for their engagement session.
All of the locations we ventured to during the session held a special place in their hearts. They were all places that they had memories together. Aaron picked the first location, which was a clubhouse in his neighborhood that he grew up working at. He walked me through the inside of the house and it was absolutely spectacular! And apparently they’re opening the house up to be a wedding venue in Summerville now!
Ashlyn and Aaron were such a joy to be around and I loved their engagement session. They were giggling the whole time! Plus we got to end their engagement session at a really special place where they grew up going. Guerin’s pharmacy is South Carolina’s oldest pharmacy, and they sell ice cream! Ashlyn and Aaron were telling me that they used to ride their bikes to the pharmacy in the summertime when they were kids. They would stop there to get ice cream and sit outside on a little bench to enjoy the cold ice cream on the hot summer days.
I knew as soon as they were telling me about their memories there that we had to make it work! We were on a time crunch, but last minute decided to go to the pharmacy to get a few quick shots of them ordering ice cream together again. There were gardens surrounding the clubhouse and we were lucky enough to be able to walk through them to get some great photos. The lawn caretakers had just finished up mowing so we came at the perfect time!
My absolute favorite part of their engagement session! We were able to visit the oldest pharmacy in South Carolina where they serve ice cream. Apparently this was a hot spot when they were kids. They would ride their bikes here during the summertime just for the ice cream! And I gotta say, it was delicious.
I loved all of these photos so much! Especially since this place meant so much to Ashlyn and Aaron. And the cotton candy ice cream went perfect with their outfits!
Ashlyn and Aaron, I hope your wedding day is everything you ever dreamed it would be! I can’t wait to see all of the beautiful pictures!
