I have been waiting to share this absolutely beautiful wedding! Megan and Joel are the sweetest souls. Being a Downtown Charleston Wedding photographer I get to see many beautiful weddings. But this wedding was beyond beautiful! I’m so happy that Haley Foster asked me to second shoot at this wedding for her!
They had bright colors, lush florals, all the family, and the Charleston harbor in the background.
But before I show you their wedding pictures, I have a fun story to tell you. I met Haley Foster the day of their wedding, but she found me a few weeks prior on Instagram. We connected and she asked if I would second shoot for her at a wedding. I of course said yes! So the morning of the wedding we went and got breakfast together to get to know each other a little bit. She was telling me about the couple and reached for her phone to show me a picture. And I was so surprised when she showed me a picture of Megan!
I used to work with Megan’s brother, Brad, when I worked full time for a real estate company as their photographer and videographer. And now I work with Brad and Megan’s mom, Cynthia, to provide headshots and videos for her company!
So now I was even more excited to photograph their wedding at the Historic Rice Mill!
Okay, enough talking! Take a look at their magical wedding day!
Megan’s dress was one of the prettiest wedding dresses I’ve ever seen!
Megan had this little patch sewn onto her dad’s tie to wear on the wedding day. How stinkin’ cute?!
Charleston sunsets are always stunning and make being a wedding photographer here in the Lowcountry so easy!
These two had so much fun! The cutest thing that I heard all night was how these two met. Joel used to walk into Megan’s work place every morning because they had a bowl of granola bars out for anyone to grab. He used that as an excuse to get to see Megan and chat with her a bit! Megan’s maid of honor gifted a box of granola bars during her speech and it was the funniest thing, but also held such a special meaning to both of them. I thought it was the cutest story!
Megan and Joel, I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness. I’m sure I will be seeing you both around when I see your family to work haha!
